Founder & Owner
Welcome to Monday, Wednesday, Tuesday Strategies
Hi, I’m Shani Saunders—a strategist and storyteller with deep roots in cultural preservation, community engagement, and nonprofit growth. I hold dual Master’s degrees in Nonprofit Leadership (School of Social Policy & Practice) and Law (Penn Carey Law) from the University of Pennsylvania, and bring more than 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, consulting, and community-based initiatives to this work.
As the founder of Monday, Wednesday, Tuesday Strategies, I partner with nonprofits, cultural organizations, and grassroots leaders to help them amplify their stories, deepen community engagement, and secure the resources needed to thrive. My work is guided by a deep belief in the power of storytelling to shape legacy and drive lasting impact.
Whether you're building a preservation initiative, launching a fundraising campaign, or designing a community-centered program, I'm here to help you move with confidence and purpose.
Let’s build something that lasts.
my Approach to impact
I take a strategic and collaborative approach to every engagement, helping clients design initiatives that honor culture, foster connection, and advance mission-driven goals. My services are crafted to center people, purpose, and sustainable growth.
Cultural Strategy & Community Engagement
I help organizations design meaningful, values-driven experiences that uplift culture, build trust, and deepen community connection. Whether you're engaging local audiences or shaping descendant-led initiatives, I support you in crafting strategies that are impactful, inclusive, and aligned with your mission.
Heritage Preservation & Fundraising Strategy
I support clients in preserving stories, honoring legacies, and securing the funding necessary to sustain their work. From developing legacy-based initiatives to writing grant proposals and building donor campaigns, I help cultural organizations grow with integrity and intention.
a personal note
My journey has been deeply influenced by my roots in the vibrant communities of Camden and Lawnside, New Jersey—places that shaped who I am today.
Many years ago, I owned a small bakery café where I catered events and provided sweet delicacies to a community of loyal customers. Sadly, I had to close the doors because I simply couldn't afford to keep it open. My heart was broken, and my spirit crushed. I know what it's like to say goodbye to a dream—and I understand all too well the feeling of scrambling to make payroll.
No one should feel trapped in a day job just because the cost of following a dream feels too high. Like you, I wanted to serve my community—but the realities of running a mission-driven business were daunting.
I see you. You have a vision of serving the community—whether through a nonprofit or a cultural initiative. You want to do socially impactful work. Let me help. With my years of strategic experience, academic training, and the hard lessons I’ve learned about sustainability and growth, I can help you live your dream and do the work that our communities desperately need.
Together, let’s take your vision and bring it to life in ways that honor your history, engage your community, and leave a lasting impact.

What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore—
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over—
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
